Research Technicians: Preferred qualifications include experience with laboratory rats/mice and bachelor's degree in related field (neuroscience, psychology, biology, etc.). Must make a two year commitment. Ideal for someone seeking more research experience during gap years before graduate school/medical school. Undergraduates: Interested students (ideally rising/current Sophomores and Juniors) looking to obtain laboratory experience should contact Dr. Swinford-Jackson. Minimum lab requirements include 10-12 hours per week during academic year and 15-20 h/wk during summer, willingness to work with laboratory rodents, relevant major/coursework, >3.0 GPA. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, are interested in continuing research for the duration of their time at TAMU, and have career goals that would benefit from research experience. Research for course credit is available through Neuroscience (NRSC 491) or Psychology (PBSI 491).

Graduate Students: Accepting Ph.D. students for Fall 2025 and Fall 2026 directly through the Behavioral and Cellular Neuroscience Doctoral Program in Psychology and rotation/students through the Graduate Training Program in Neuroscience.
